What they did
u/Outlaw04 took delivery of a large consignment of used RAM and set Grok Bot to produce the eBay listings, working through a block of 30 in batches of five. The thread gives two versions of how far the bot went: in one reply the bot drafted the listings and the poster published them after a few adjustments; in another the bot was set to review five at a time and list them, and the suspension came halfway through the second batch.
How it went
eBay suspended and permanently banned the account. The poster asked how to get it back and nobody had a real answer beyond starting over with a new email and phone number. A commenter who builds eBay selling software said eBay is strict about automation and only accepts its own API and CSV uploads for listing outside the site; another said bans usually follow automated buying rather than listing. One commenter said they list and track on eBay with Muse without trouble, and at least one reader dropped a plan to use Grok Bot on eBay after seeing the thread.
Worth knowing
eBay treats browser automation as bot activity and the ban is account-wide. If you sell there, use the official API or bulk CSV, or have the agent draft and post the listings yourself. The poster's two replies disagree on whether the bot actually posted anything, so the trigger is uncertain. Twenty-six comments, no response from eBay.
