What they did
In an r/GrokBot thread asking what people use agents for, u/ISayAboot listed more than thirty jobs, from Instacart orders and monthly payroll to inbox triage, a 4:30 am daily brief and a Sunday family briefing. The concrete one: they gave a bot the same 35-minute screen recording they had made for a real EA, walking through multiple accounts and showing how to categorise transactions for tax and match them, mistakes and dead ends included. The bot works in QuickBooks through a plugin that is currently read-only, and since Grok Bot's computers were updated it can log in, with the person stepping in for two-factor codes.
How it went
They say the bot understood the whole process from the video on the first pass, including the parts where they got stuck, and is now categorising and matching transactions well. No figures on time saved. Another commenter in the same thread could not get a bot past QuickBooks' login because it was detected as automation.
Worth knowing
A single comment with no screenshots, and the poster's long list of jobs is unverifiable. QuickBooks bot detection seems to vary between accounts. A different commenter runs a finance bot with read-only bank access that files receipts to Drive and hands business expenses to a second bot, which is a more cautious starting point than write access to the books.
