What they did
u/SOCOPOPO, replying in an r/GrokBot thread about personal uses, described a routine that watches two vacations booked for 2027, one of them a cruise. The bot compares current airfare with what was paid so a price adjustment can be requested, and does the same for the cruise fare, hotel and parking. The same setup checks sports ticket prices as game day approaches, visits loyalty programmes daily to collect points, looks for new releases at local breweries, finds clashes between work, the kids' activities and the family calendar, and helps design and price home projects such as a closet rebuild.
How it went
The cruise price came down twice, by about $1,200 and then about $150, and the poster had the booking repriced both times. No airfare drop is mentioned. The comment does not say how the bot checks prices or whether it contacts the cruise line; the wording suggests the person makes the adjustment call themselves. They do not use it for work at all.
Worth knowing
This only pays where the provider allows repricing before final payment, which many cruise lines and some airlines do. It is a single comment rather than a write-up, with no screenshots, so treat the amounts as reported. Usage limits were the main complaint across the thread.
